The Prayer List is printed, not just for Sunday mornings, but for you to keep with your Bible or devotional book, so that these petitions will remain in your thoughts and prayers throughout the week -- until next Sunday's updated Prayer List! If you have a Prayer Request you would like added to the list, please call the Church Office (913-682-0387) or email office@splcs.org.

ST. PAUL PRAYER LIST – Week of November 16, 2008

1.     We pray for our Family of Faith: remembering those celebrating birthdays this week: Stephanie Nash, Mark Clemens, Jennifer Joachims, David Bowles, Sr., Marshall Blanken, Chris Tebbenkamp, Chris Malto, Judi Camp, Carrie Carnoali and Don Denney. God be with you this next year!

2.     We lift up our loved ones with health concerns:

+ Carol Reese (following foot surgery due to infection, receiving daily antibiotics for 6 weeks via pic line)

+ Martha Hamilton (convalescing at home following a partial knee replacement)

+ Sharon Adams (heart catheterization postponed pending further consultation with doctor)

+ Kathy Tebbenkamp (Ellie’s mother, following amputation of leg this past Monday)

+ Sandy Hooper (at recurrence of osteomylitis in her finger)

+ John Young (co-worker of Mindy Williams, following back surgery this past Thursday)

+ Mary Hansen (to clear infection from artificial hip joint, joint removed for at least 1 year)

+ Gloria Krupa, & her family caregivers (Diane Curry’s aunt, continues to suffer from paralysis)

+ and those who battle cancer: James Anderson (Dawn Booth’s father); Bruce Baker (George & Virginia Harth’s son-in-law); Don Clark (friend of Norm Nolop); Kevin Donald; Ellis Doughty (Pastor Ed’s brother-in-law’s brother); Nancy Elliot (relative of Doris Johnson); John Ferraro (Joe Wilson, Sr’s uncle); John Finley (associate of Emily Wood); Mary Ann Garsow (co-worker of Dorothy Quinlan); Aedan Gibson (grandson of co-worker of Margaret Hanawalt); Rudy Hall (Rick’s dad); Jacob Hayes (son of Dorothy Quinlan co-worker); Jan Holland; JoAnne Kennard (Martha Parrett’s daughter); Elena Padilla (friend of Betty Harris); Jim & Mary Rogers (KKLO listeners)

3.     We lift up Andrea Herman, and her work as our “Together in Mission” missionary – as she temporarily serves in Mali (until her return to Guinea next spring).  She asks our prayers for the believers back in Siguiri, and for the 14 seekers in her village in Mali.  May the Lord work thru Andrea (and those who serve with her) to reach the lost  connecting them to Jesus!

4.     We continue to pray for the lost – especially those known to us.  May our prayers and our actions be blessed by the Lord to bring others into relationship with Him.   “Lord, lay some soul upon my heart, and love that soul thru me – and, may I humbly do my part to win that soul for Thee!”

5.     We hold before the Lord our ministry as a congregation: … at the installation of Tom Orlowski as Ministry Director (thanking the Lord for the faithful service of Tracy Knueven, whose term of office has expired; as-well-as for the willingness of Kathy Johnson and Tammie Wahaus to continue their service as Secretary and Treasurer, respectively);  … at the “continuing journey” of our lives as consecrated stewards; … and at the coming mission of our “7th Street Feast” and “Christmas Market,” plus the on-going ministry of “Kid’s Connection.”   In all we do, the Lord our God be praised!

6.     We pray for our Nation:  seeking the Lord’s continued care for those in our military who serve in harm’s way – especially: Mike Caudle, Pete & Jenny Farese, Parker Frawley, Logan Hastings, Buck Henry, Lee Henry, Cherry Lipp & Scott Nauman – serving in/near Iraq; and Jacob Cruz & Stephen Peyton – serving in Afghanistan.   We also remember their families here at home.  God bless America!

THE OBAMA FAMILY IS LOOKING FOR A PUPPY … maybe you are, too!

Pepper – a sweet, 9-month-old mixed-breed (perhaps beagle and Doberman?) – is looking for a home!

He loves people but will be a big dog.  Call Lori Hall (306-4588) if you’d like to meet him.
